Not only do we offer several standard recycled content products, but we’ve also engineered a
process that uses 25% less yarn than the industry average to make superior performing carpet. This
translates into 5 million pounds of virgin yarn not needed each year.

Modular carpet tile and six-foot roll goods with 100% recycled content backing and 30%-50% overall recycled content. Certified an Environmentally Preferable Product by Scientific Certification Systems and achieved California Gold Standard with a Platinum rating. The only standard product from any carpet company to achieve both of these ratings.
ETHOS®
Carpet backing that contains 76% post-consumer recycled content, from non-chlorinated thermoplastic polymer recovered from car windshields and safety glass, a product that has historically had no commercial applications after its useful life, until Tandus began recycling it. Ethos cushion has the lowest environmental impact of all the carpet products in BEES 4.0 Life Cycle Analysis software.
POWERBOND®
Engineered to bond the yarn, backing and dry adhesive in a single structure, this product is warranted for 25 years, or three times the life expectancy of a typical carpet. Replacing carpet less frequently not only saves money, but it helps save the planet.
CONSERV™
Carpet backing that uses fewer nonrenewable resources and weighs 25% less than standard carpet tile products. 100% closed-loop recyclable in our existing recycling process.

High performance broadloom backing with 23-37% recycled content, low VOCs, and a 20 year non-prorated warranty.
GREENBOND™
Commercial carpet adhesive for broadloom carpets that contains 20% post-consumer recycled content, packaged in pails containing a minimum of 40% recycled content.

Tandus doesn't add antimicrobial treatments to its carpet. We do offer the best
warranty coverage against damage from microbial growth...without using harmful pesticides.
We believe it's a better approach to manufacture a product that can perform well without
the use of these unnecessary chemicals than to add tons of pesticides into our
customers' environments.

Green Samples by Tandus
For several years, designers, architects and our customers have asked "Isn't there a better
way to sample carpet that is more environmentally friendly and yet will suit the way we work,
with the complete sample experience?" The answer is YES and it's called Green Samples by Tandus.
Recognizing designers’ need for removable swatches, our Green Samples By Tandus replace
traditional carpet color swatches with tear-off pads for each colorway. Each sample folder
pad has 25 color-accurate digital images replicating physical carpet samples with specifications
on the reverse side. When a Green Samples By Tandus is removed, the book remains intact so that
others can continue to use the folder. Designers then can order larger physical samples if needed.
