Glen A. Hussmann, President and Chief Executive Officer
Glen Hussmann is president and CEO of Tandus Group, Inc. In his role, Mr. Hussmann
reports directly to the board and will work with the Tandus leadership team to achieve
the company's strategic growth initiatives. Prior to joining Tandus in 2007, Mr.
Hussmann was the president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of
Reeves Brothers Inc., a global producer of specialty coated fabric products. In
addition, Mr. Hussmann has held various leadership positions during an 18-year career
in the Plastics division of General Electric.
Leonard F. Ferro, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President
As vice president and chief financial officer, Leonard F. Ferro is responsible for
directing the overall financial operations of Tandus and its three product brands.
Ferro brings to Tandus more than 20 years of financial experience. Most recently,
he served as vice president, chief financial officer, secretary and treasurer for
Galey & Lord, Inc., a leading manufacturer of apparel fabrics. Prior to that,
he served as corporate controller for Collins & Aikman Corporation, the former
owner of Tandus' C&A Floorcoverings brand. Ferro also has more than 10 years
of experience in public accounting principally with Ernst & Young.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Stockton College. Ferro is certified
as a public accountant in North Carolina and is also a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants.
Ralph Grogan, Chief Operating Officer
As senior vice president, Tandus, Ralph Grogan assumes significant enterprise responsibilities
in addition to his continued role as president of Monterey Carpets. In his new position,
all sales, product design and development and Dalton manufacturing will report to
Grogan. He has acquired extensive experience in sales, marketing, operations and
product development over his career. Before joining Monterey in 2002, he served
as president of Burlington House Floor Accents. Prior to that, he led the broadloom
and carpet tile business during the 1990s as vice president and General Manager
of Lees Commercial Carpets.
He holds a bachelor degree in business administration from the University of North
Carolina - Chapel Hill and an MBA from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.
Jim Harley, Vice President
As vice president Manufacturing for Tandus, Jim Harley's responsibilities include
all of our carpet manufacturing facilities in Dalton and Canada. He is also responsible
for our fiber extrusion operation in Calhoun, Georgia and Tandus Technologies. He
has acquired extensive experience in operations over his career. Before joining
Tandus, he served as vice president of Manufacturing for Monterey from 2001-2005.
Prior to that he was president of Chroma Systems, commission carpet dyeing and finishing
operation from 1998-2001. Subsequent to that, Jim spent fifteen years at Bentley
Carpets Mills rising to the level of vice president and general manager.
Lee H. Schilling, Senior Vice President
As senior vice president for Tandus, Lee H. Schilling is responsible for developing
marketing strategies for all Tandus brands, expanding opportunities for new markets
and exploring new product technologies and applications. During his more than 35
years of experience in the textile and floorcovering industries, Mr. Schilling held
positions with BASF and Allied Fibers (now Honeywell) as well as managing marketing
communications and sales for Stratton's modular tile and wall covering businesses.
He has been actively involved in the company's focus on sustainability since it
was adopted as a core business value. Mr. Schilling participates in various environmental
and social organizations such as Business for Social Responsibility, World Resources
Institute, National Recycling Coalition and the American Institute of Architects
(AIA) Committee on the Environment.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Denison University and is also
a graduate of Penn State's Executive Management Program.
Roger Ray, President, Tandus Asia
Prior to joining Tandus Asia, Roger was Vice President, Asia and General Manager, China for
Academy Precious Metals (China) Co. Roger also held Vice President, Asia & General Manager
positions for Invensys, and was Director of Operations for Honeywell China. Roger and his
family have lived in China since 1996. Roger has led successful initiatives in China and the
Asian region in a variety of business situations for the past twelve years. His experience,
knowledge of the region and practical approach to developing and leading teams will be highly
beneficial as we continue to build on our business model and capabilities in Asia.
Ray M. Dunn, Vice President, Tandus Corporate Development
As vice president of Tandus Corporate Development, Ray Dunn is focused on communicating
the Tandus message to end users in the corporate and retail markets. He brings more
than 20 years of experience in the commercial floorcovering industry to this position.
Prior to joining Tandus in May 2000, Dunn was vice president of strategic accounts
for Interface Inc. and spent 14 years as an account executive with Interface Flooring
Systems.
He is an active member of International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) and
CoreNet.
Dunn earned a bachelor of business administration in management from the University
of Georgia.
Tom Ellis, Vice President, Sales
Formerly vice president of marketing, Tom Ellis leads the sales organization dedicated
to the education, healthcare and government end markets. He joined C&A as general
manager, Education Markets, in 1998, and has been instrumental in growing the education
business at a double-digit rate. During the four years in which he had marketing
responsibility for the education segment, Ellis was instrumental in helping grow
that business at a double-digit rate. He was promoted to vice president of marketing
in 2003 with strategic marketing responsibility for the Specialized segments.
Mr. Ellis has been actively involved with the company's focus on indoor air quality
and surrounding environmental issues. He brings 20 years of industry experience
to his new role. He served as a regional sales manager for Formica Corp. for nine
years and represented Armstrong World Industries in both the commercial wall coverings
and architectural building products divisions for seven years.
He is a member of the Council of Education Facilities Planners International (CEFPI),
for which he chairs the Paragon Schoolhouse Project. Mr. Ellis is also actively
involved with a number of education and design organizations, including the Association
of College and University Housing Officers (ACUHO), the American Institute of Architects
(AIA), the National School Plant Management Assoc. (NSPMA), the Association of Higher
Education Facilities Management, the Conference of Catholic Facilities Planners
(CCFM) and the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI).
A native of Winter Garden, Fla., Mr. Ellis earned a bachelor of arts in English
from Florida State University.
Carl Hulme, Vice President, Tandus Canada
Carl Hulme, vice president of Tandus Canada, leads a sales organization that has
been very effective at selling all three Tandus product brands to all market segments
for several years. Hulme has been with Crossley since 1984, serving as vice president
of Sales since 1990. Prior to 1990, Hulme was National accounts manager, where he
was responsible for over 40 percent of Crossley's Canadian business. Prior to joining
Crossley, Hulme worked for Eaton's of Canada, Home Furnishings Division.
Hulme grew up and attended school in the U.K. where after graduation from school
he joined the largest floorcovering retailer in the north of England where he served
his apprenticeship. As part of this apprenticeship he attended Bradford Technical
College where he earned a certificate in Floorcoverings & textiles. He emigrated
to Canada in 1979 where he joined Eaton's of Canada as a regional manager. He also
attended the Eaton School of Business, receiving a diploma in Executive Management.
Carl is a member of ARIDO and IFMA.
Brad Cummings, Vice President, Human Resources
Brad brings to Tandus more than 12 years of Human Resource experience in the retail,
banking and consulting sectors. He completed his Bachelors work in Psychology at
the University of Georgia, and Masters work in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
at New York University. In his role at Tandus, Brad has global responsibility for
the Human Resource function for the company and will lead the design and execution
of HR processes to attract, motivate and retain a high-performing, diverse workforce.
Jim Sandy, Vice President, Dealer Development
Jim brings over twenty-three years experience to the commercial floorcovering industry,
within the distribution and manufacturing side of the industry. For the past five
years, Mr. Sandy held the position of national account executive for Tandus’ Long
Term Care markets and prior to joining Tandus, Jim worked as a national accounts
manager at Mannington.
Rusty Joyce, Senior Vice President, North American Sales
Rusty Joyce brings more than 21 years of floorcovering experience to Tandus, with
over 18 years in the Commercial Carpet arena. In his role, Rusty will be responsible
for leading the Sales Team and instrumental in continuing the growth of our company.
